As part of the hurricane Katrina rescue effort, Ms. Deb Watts and Ms. Susan Tuite volunteered one week of their time to work with the United States Humane Society. Thousands of animals were left homeless following the storm, and volunteers from throughout the country gathered together at the Lamar Dixon animal shelter to rescue and care for these traumatized animals. A few of the photos that they took on their trip are shared here.
